Commit to a course, create a new discipline and cultivate some better habits whilst learning the Ashtanga method of yoga. This class is suitable for beginners who are familiar with Ashtanga yoga or new starters with a reasonable fitness level and able to keep up with a fast paced yoga class.

6-7pm Ashtanga for those familiar with Ashtanga Yoga. In this session you will get more adjustments, less demonstration and a faster flow, you will work on turning the practice into a moving meditation linking the breath with each move, Pose names will be called in Sanskrit.

New starters: The full hour might be too challenging for you Lyndsey recommends that log in live at 6:30am. and practice for just 20 minutes, if you do the 3 times per week you will have practiced that 1 hour yoga session each week and from there you grow to 30 minute sessions to the full one hour to the full 90 to practicing every day. Can you imagine yoga feeling so good and easy and having the strength and stamina to be able to practice every day? It is possible but you have got to start slowly
Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series Part 1.
During this practice you will cover the full standing sequence and the first 3 seated poses plus the finishing sequence.
Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series Part 2.
During this practice you will cover part of the standing sequence and all the seated poses up to navasana including the finishing sequence.
Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series Part 3.
During this practice you will cover part of the standing sequence and al poses from navasana to the end of the seated sequence including the finishing sequence.
A 40 minute beginner friendly ashtanga session, beginners doesn't mean easy, ashtanga yoga is the most challenging style of yoga, although when you break it down into manageable practices and build strength, stamina and flexibility after a while it becomes easier and when it does your should progress to the one hour sessions.
Yin Yoga for body mind and soul. A deeply relaxing yoga session that will offer a total body stretch and some inspiring mindful prompts that will gently ease you into this new moon cycle.

This course is a 5 week journey that will help you develop self awareness, daily structure and create a better balance with the aim of living a more harmonous life..
You are welcome to drop in weekly to this course but pre booking the entire curse is cheaper and you get an ebook as opposed to just the live yin sessions.
Week One. The wood element.
This 90 minute session will offer yin yoga poses, pranayama and a meditation practice that is specific to the element wood (refer to article for insight) This practice will target the liver and gallbladder which are the meridians of the wood element and anatomically we will target the outer hip, IT band, Inner thigh and front of the foot, Also the ribcage and waist.
Things to consider during this practice:
Most of these poses work intensively with the liver and gallbladder and can trigger reactions such as frustration or anger, please just let these emotions arise and know that we are releasing blockages, they will pass.
The energy of or liver is in charge of tempering our emotions by regulation the smooth flow of energy within the body. Harmonise by working with loving kindness and compassion to yourself whilst practicing, be gentle with your self as you remove blockages.
Lyndsey will guide you through everything, props are not necessary but if you do have them use them.

Week Two. The fire element.
This 90 minute session will offer Yin poses, pranayama and a meditation practice that is specific to the element Fire.
This practice will target the heart and small intestine meridians and anatomically the diaphragm, wrists, arms and underarms, along with the shoulders.
This fire practice will open up the front and back of the heart space and you will learn to get our of your head and into your heart. The heart is the centre of our entire being, its beat runs right through us, the energy of the heart can be transformative or destructive, it can burn brightly or burn out, it can fill you with passion and warmth or leave you feeling cold, depleted and disengaged. During this practice we will reboot our passions by igniting our fire within.
Week Three. The earth element.
This 90 minute session will offer Yin poses, pranayama and a meditation practice that is specific to the element Earth.
This practice will target the stomach and spleen meridians and anatomically, the quads, the hip flexors, abdomen, chest, inner though and the knee.
The earth practice will focus on finding your centre and developing your inner awareness, we will look at grounding work and strengthening your connections to yourself, to those around you and to nature. When the world is constantly spinning and sometimes out of control we learn to take time to pause and ground ourselves. This is the central point between the five elements, i expect you to come home to yourself, return to the comfort of earths energy and take a moment to practice loving kindness whilst removing blockages that keep you from being centred and engaged.
Week Four. The metal element.
This 90 minute session will offer yin yoga poses, pranayama and a meditation practice that is specific to the element Metal.
This practice will target the lung and large intestine meridians and anatomically the shoulders, the wrists. the neck and centre of the torso. Metal represents moving away from yang like energies and into more yin like energies. This practice will encourage you to let go of all that no longer serves you, asses your daily life and organise your life in a new way that works better for you.
Week Five. The water element.
This 90 minute session will offer yin yoga poses, pranayama and a meditation practice that is specific to the element Water.
This practice will target the kidney and bladder meridians and anatomically the spine, groin, hamstrings and solar plexus.
Water is both the beginning and end of any cycle, waters nature is introspective and flowing. This practice will encourage you to make pace with a inevitable end and flow through a new start or cycle with more forgiveness, compassion and love for yourself and those around you. This session will be a perfect end to a wonderfully transformative course and a great preparation for a life lived in better harmony.
